1. Who we are

Styka ("we", "us", or "Styka") is an early-access product that generates a simple website for a local business from its public Google Maps reviews. We're based in the United States. You can reach us at hello@styka.ai.

2. What this Policy covers

This Policy explains what information Styka collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the website at styka.ai and to any site we generate and host on a Styka subdomain. By using Styka, you agree to this Policy.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide

• The email address you enter on the sign-in page.
• The Google Maps business URL you submit.
• Any optional business information you add when refining your site (hours, phone, address, custom copy).

Information Styka generates

• The website we create from your submission, including transformed text summaries of your public reviews.

Technical information

• When you visit styka.ai, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard request data — IP address, user agent, referrer, and timestamp. Vercel retains these logs according to its own policy.

4. What we don't collect

• We don't set tracking cookies on styka.ai.
• We don't run third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no TikTok Pixel).
• We don't buy, sell, rent, or trade personal information.
• We don't use your data to train our own AI models.

5. How we use information

• To create and host your generated website.
• To email you about your account — sign-in codes, billing, and service changes.
• To improve Styka through anonymized, aggregated analysis of what we generate and how it performs. We don't use personally identifying information for this.

6. Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers we need to run Styka:

• Hosting: Vercel Inc. — hosts styka.ai and your generated site.
• Database: Supabase Inc. — stores account and site data in the us-east-1 region (AWS).
• AI generation: a third-party AI vendor processes your submitted business information to generate site copy. We do not send your email or payment information to this vendor.
• Payments (future): when we turn on paid plans, Stripe Inc. will handle card data. Styka itself does not store full card numbers.
• Legal: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or valid court order.

We do not share information for advertising purposes.

7. Your rights

You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, correction of anything inaccurate, or deletion of your account and associated data by emailing hello@styka.ai.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

You have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Styka does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

EU / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

The legal basis for processing your data is performance of our contract with you. For any marketing emails, the basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

8. Data retention

We keep account data for as long as you have an active account. After you request deletion, we remove account data within 30 days, except for backups and records we're legally required to retain (up to 12 months). Generated site content is deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Vercel server logs follow Vercel's retention policy.

9. Children

Styka is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU / UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, email us at hello@styka.ai and we'll delete it.

10. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect information. No service on the internet is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be announced to signed-in users by email and posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of Styka after the new effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
